If you are a Baltimore City grower interested in joining the Farm Alliance, please review our membership summary and complete the Member Interest Form below. We’ll keep your information on file and notify you when applications reopen in December 2026.
Eligibility
All applicants must be located in Baltimore City, have been in production for at least one year, and align with the mission of the Farm Alliance.
Membership Types
We have two types of membership:
- Farm Membership
Farms and other agricultural operations that produce more than $2,000 worth of farm products for sale or donation annually. - Garden Membership
Community gardens, homesteads, cooperative gardens, apiaries, and school gardens that produce less than $2,000 worth of farm products for sale or donation annually.

Membership benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Shared resources
- Trainings and workshops
- Marketing and collective sales
- Technical assistance
- Fellowship and farmer-to-farmer support

Application Process
- Applications open December 2026
- Applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee, composed of member farmers.
- Farm Membership applicants will require a site visit before acceptance.
- Garden Membership applicants will require an introductory phone call or site visit.
- New members will complete an orientation and a 6-month review with the Membership Committee.
- Membership is renewed annually with a signed membership agreement and payment of dues.
If you are looking for additional support as a beginning grower, we also recommend Baltimore City Master Gardeners, University of Maryland Extension, and the Baltimore Office of Sustainability.
