2025 Annual Report

2025 was a challenging year in many ways, yet our work remained steady as we continued to support urban and regional agriculture, advance food equity, and rebuild the future of urban farming in Baltimore.

Across our network, Baltimore’s growers demonstrated extraordinary dedication and productivity. Together, we stewarded more than 25 acres of land, saw a 20% increase in sales at our collective farmers market stand, and responded to our neighbors during a food assistance crisis. Our events and workshops reached record numbers of participants eager to deepen their skills and connection to urban farming.

At the heart of this work is the Black Butterfly Teaching Farm. While still under development, the farm has already become a living classroom and a hub for innovation that demonstrates what is possible when community, education, and production come together. With the support of partners across the city, we made meaningful progress toward building a best-practices urban agriculture site that will serve growers for generations to come.

We are grateful to share our 2025 Annual Report with you, which highlights these milestones and the collective impact made possible through collaboration and shared commitment. Thank you for being part of this growing movement.

Together, we are greening our communities, feeding our neighbors, and demonstrating food sovereignty for all of Baltimore.
