The Baltimore Free Farm is an example of what a handful of people can do with abandoned city property. Starting in 2009, dozens of volunteers have created, maintained, and built an urban green space which includes a collective vegetable garden, a community co-op garden, an urban food forest pocket park, a community composting operation, and a seed commons that distributes free seeds.
We are an egalitarian community of farmers and learners stewarding an urban green space, practicing resource-sharing, and co-creating a peaceful place for all.
