Our garden, founded in 2011, was established as a community garden to serve and help feed families in Baltimore. Our garden is about 1/4 of an acre. We have about 65 households that participate in all phases of the garden.
The members of our garden work together as a community, making collective decisions on which crops to grow based on member input obtained via meetings, surveys, and communication throughout the year. We strive to garden in a natural, sustainable manner based on science and best practices of urban gardening. In addition to providing food for our members, we donate harvest to Baltimore charities.
