About the Farm
The farm’s quarter-acre plot of land affectionately referred to as “The Annex” has been home to a vibrant initiative and community tending to a natural dye garden. In addition to plants traditionally used to produce dye such as indigo, amaranth, yarrow, marigolds, sunflowers and others, the garden is also home to plants native to this region, plants that can be used to create fibers like cotton, hemp and flax, and a range of other medicinal herbs, flowers and wild variants.
