Sofia Whiting was a young person in the Farm Alliance family whose love of urban farming brought her close to many of our member farms.
The Farm Alliance of Baltimore will award up to 4 scholarships of $1000 each to college-bound scholars from the Baltimore area who have demonstrated a love of urban farming and community gardening.
Applications for the Sophia Whiting Memorial Scholarship are open now through Sept 30th, 2022.
Eligibility:
This scholarship opportunity is open to high school seniors who graduated in 2022 from Baltimore City Public Schools. Applicants must be in their first year of college and must have a demonstrated interest or background in urban agriculture or food equity.
